Joshua R. Feldman concentrates his practice exclusively in Matrimonial and Family law. Josh represents clients throughout Connecticut in cases involving divorce, child custody and parenting plans, child support, alimony, and the distribution of property upon the dissolution of marriage. Josh’s practice also includes handling various post-judgment matters, including modifications of alimony, child support, custody and visitation, and college education disputes.
Josh carefully reviews each client’s financial and custody-related issues to develop a personalized strategy that best meets his client’s goals. Josh’s individualized approach includes an in-depth analysis of personal and business financial documents, compensation, real estate holdings, brokerage accounts and retirement assets. He regularly collaborates with business valuation experts, appraisers, accountants, and vocational experts to properly evaluate the financial issues in a case. Josh additionally consults with mental health professionals and substance abuse experts in complex custody-related matters.
Utilizing diligent preparation, attentiveness, effective communication, and advocacy, Josh has represented clients in complex divorce and family law matters involving significant assets, executive compensation, including long-term incentive awards, businesses, trusts, premarital and postnuptial agreements, international employment and foreign assets, LGBTQ+ families and same-sex couples, interstate custody, as well as relocation and other highly contested child custody issues. Josh also has experience investigating and litigating issues surrounding business valuations and fraud in dissolution of marriage actions.
Josh expands his practice into Collaborative Divorce allowing him to assist divorcing individuals in a non-adversarial alternative for resolving divorce matters respectfully and privately.
